  • Plan4Business Final Conference

    2014-05-07: The final conference of the plan4business project took place on 14th March 2014 in Dublin, Ireland, hosted by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (R.I.C.S.) at the Headquarters of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (S.C.S.I.), represented by Tony Mulhall, Associate Director of the LandProfessional Group.

    High-level contributions supported a lively discussion with the audience. In the first part of the conference, the achievements of the plan4business project were presented: its business solutions, an online demonstration of the features and services of whatstheplan.eu platform, the added value and challenges.

    2014-04-08: The plan4business team has designed and implemented the operational plan4business service platform that is available at http://www.whatstheplan.eu.

    The feedback on the platform is going on. First results show a high percentage of satisfaction, but also very constructive remarks and questions related to the platform.   • Plan4Business portal now online available

    2014-02-05: The plan4business development team has designed and implemented the first operational implementation of the plan4business service platform. There will be two main implementations of the system.

    One is for non-expert users enabling browsing the content, viewing the thematic compositions and predefined analysis and core pan-European datasets such as Urban Atlas and Corine Land Cover.

    The other implementation is targeted at experts users who are additionally able to create own map compositions, perform own analysis, integrate spatial data into the common data model based on INSPIRE, download certain datasets or use the developed Application Programming Interface (API).

    The prototypes are used mainly for testing purposes and no charges will apply. The portal for non-expert users is publicly available. Your feedback is appreciated. Please stay tuned and follow this website for further details.

  • plan4business Workshop at the INSPIRE Conference 2013

    2013-06-17: The project will present its achievements at the plan4business workshop at the INSPIRE Conference 2013 in Florence, Italy. The goal of the workshop is to discuss the economic potential and the organisational and technical challenges related to the exploitation of spatial planning data through a pan European platform for the aggregation, processing and analysis of urban and regional planning data.

    The workshop takes place on Monday, June 24 at 9:00 am in the room 4.

    Further information about the project is available at the exhibition stand if the project coordinator Fraunhofer IGD during the whole conference from Sunday 23rd - Thursday 27th June 2013.

    2013-04-17: The next plan4business Customer Workshop will take place in Rome, during the REAL CORP 2013 conference, 18th International Conference on Urban Planning and Regional Development in the Information Society GeoMultimedia 2013. The goal of the workshop is to foster the dialogue with the project stakeholders and to present the project achievements.

  • Customer Workshop in London

    2013-03-08: The project team thanks all participants of the Customer Workshop in London which took place on 8 March 2013. The event was organised by ISOCARP and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The intention of the workshop was to foster the dialogue between the commercial users of urban data and the plan4business platform developers.

    The topics presented and discussed during the workshop were:

    • Way of collecting, providing quality to data, and elaborating and aggregating them following clients demand and requests

    • Evidences how urban layout can influence business potential of urban area

    • Use of data in order to understand vacancy information on urban supply sites

    • Map for England project, an attempt to map policies and territorial initiatives at national scale

    • Activities in the field of geo-location and environmental studies

    • Data coverage, liability and quality

    • plan4business business concept

    The plan4bisines team has evaluated the results of the workshop. The findings will be used for the further development of the plan4business service platform to aggregate, process and analyse urban and regional planning data.

    2013-01-30: Devět měsíců intenzivní práce uběhlo od začátku projektu Plan4business (duben 2012). Vývoj servisní platformy pro agregaci, zpracování a analýzu plánovacích dat značně pokročil. Do projektu je zapojena řada odborníků z celé Evropy, která zabezpečuje podněty k dalšímu vývoji a směřování celé platformy. Plan4business vydal svoje první Novinky 01/2013.     2013-01-30: Vývojáři projektu plan4business navrhli prototyp webové platformy. Ta umožňuje prostorové analýzy evropských datových sad. Platforma je postavena na základě požadavků uživatelů, kterým tímto děkujeme. Platforma bude brzy zpřístupněna.
