The quarterly review
The quarterly review is where a plan meets what actually happened. Two hours, one agenda, three decisions.
Quarterly resolution is the shortest period in which a change in trend is visible.
The comparison
Planned against actual, per channel and per product group. The interesting column is the difference, and the useful question is which assumption produced it rather than who is responsible for it.
Three decisions
One thing to start, one thing to stop, one thing to keep watching. Reviews that produce a list of twelve actions produce none of them.
Keeping it short
The figures are circulated beforehand and are not presented in the meeting. Time in the room is spent on interpretation and decisions, which is the part that cannot be done alone.
